Privacy Policy
Last updated: 9 July 2026
Mactomator is a Mac app that runs entirely on your computer. It is built to do its job without collecting your data. This policy explains the few places where information is involved — buying a license, activating it, checking for updates — and how this website works.
The app never sees what you do
Mactomator needs Accessibility permission so it can react to your gestures and keystrokes. That input is processed only on your Mac, in the moment, to run your automations. Your keystrokes, gestures, clicks, and screen content are never recorded, stored, or sent anywhere. Your profiles, bindings, and settings are saved locally on your Mac. There is no usage tracking or analytics inside the app.
Crash reports
If the app crashes, a technical crash report (the crash stack, app version, and macOS version) is sent to Sentry, our crash-reporting processor, so we can find and fix the bug. Crash reports contain no keystrokes, gestures, files, or usage data, and we do not attach your IP address or any account identifier to them.
The free trial
So the 30-day trial can be offered once per Mac, the app sends a one-way hashed machine identifier to our licensing server to start and track the trial. It is not linked to your name or email — there is no account.
Buying a license
Payments are handled by our reseller, Paddle, acting as merchant of record. When you buy, Paddle processes your email address and payment details under its own privacy policy. We receive your email address and the plan you bought so we can issue and manage your license. We never see your full card details.
License activation and checks
A license covers up to three Macs. To enforce that, activating sends a per-machine hashed identifier and your license token to our licensing server; we use these only to count and manage activations. The app also checks in with the server periodically (about once a day) to confirm the license is still valid. A license may be turned off if its purchase is refunded or charged back. You can deactivate a Mac at any time to free a slot.
License emails
Your license key is delivered by email through Resend, which processes your email address to send that message. We do not use your email for marketing.
Updates
When the app checks for updates it contacts our update server (hosted on Cloudflare). The request may include basic technical information such as the app version and your macOS version, and — like any web request — your IP address appears in standard server logs. It is not tied to your identity.
This website
The site is hosted on Cloudflare. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is privacy-first and cookieless: it counts page views and referrers to help us understand traffic, without setting cookies, without cross-site tracking, and without building a profile of you. There are no advertising or session-recording trackers on this site, and no cookie banner because we do not set tracking cookies.
